Cheap Eats
Food trucks are the latest fast food rage. The trucks have been around since for a long time, but now they’re popping up everywhere. You’ll find them near work places, wineries, breweries, airports, parties and at many events, including Food Truck festivals. Austin, Texas is famous for them, as is downtown Los Angeles, California and Portland, Oregon offers an entire city block of decorative food trucks. Food trucks are found internationally. The food is varied-barbecue, Mexican, Japanese, Polish, curry, pizza, burgers and fries, Thai, soul food and the list goes on. But, is it safe to eat food prepared in a truck? As long as it has been properly cooked, it’s probably OK, and some of it is delicious. Avoid day old food. Food trucks provide a quick and inexpensive way to take the edge off your hunger. Quick, that is, unless the food is so popular that you have to wait in a long line to make an order. In this case, find the best times to show up to order. Food trucks catering lunch often close around 3PM.
