Dian Hymer Photography
Formerly a successful real estate broker, nationally syndicated real estate columnist and author of several consumer oriented real estate books, Dian Hymer left the real estate world to follow her passion: photography. An avid travel photographer for over 30 years, she also photographed listings in order to create visual tours for internet marketing. Before leaving real estate, Dian studied privately with a professional photographer then took college level photography courses at University of California Berkeley Extension Art and Design Center in San Francisco, and intensive photographic workshops at Santa Fe Photography Workshops and Los Angeles Center of Photography (LACP). Workshop instructors included renowned San Abell, Arthur Meyerson and Aline Smithson. Dian’s competition winning photo of the Golden Gate Bridge was featured in a local SF Bay Area newspaper in 2016. Lenscratch showcased two of Dian’s photos in 2017. Also in 2017, Dian was a winner of the virtual online gallery on LACP’s website for “The Creative Portrait” Exhibition. Dian received BA and MA degrees from UCLA where she was also advanced to candidacy for a PhD degree in Anthropology. Dian currently lives in Oakland, CA.
